Karla Homolka is the murderer of her own sister Tammy. The 15-year-old girl was raped and "accidentally" killed by her beloved older sister and her alleged ex-husband. In fact, it was the most gruesome case in Canadian murder history.

What's more, things went wrong for the Homolka family after Paul Bernardo came into their lives. He was Karla Homolka's husband and her literal accomplice. The murderous couple killed the youngest member of Karla's family, Tammy, on Christmas Eve 1990.
Young Tammy was murdered while her sister Lori was sleeping peacefully.
From the beginning of Karla and Paul's relationship, Logan's infamous sister Valentini noticed that he was more attracted to her younger sister. Also, her then-partner, Paul, made her pretend to be Tammy during intimacy. Despite this, Karla granted all of her wishes and only a week away from her sister's birthday.sacrificed his lifeonly for the sake of her lover's happiness.
On Christmas Eve night, Homolka's older sister laced Tammy's food with powerful tranquilizers stolen from her workplace. After she passed out and everyone in the family was asleep, she took her little sister down to the basement. There she was waiting for Bernardo to rape the girl. The couple even filmed the entire act.
Poor Tammy died very badly: she choked on her own vomit and died moments later. After failed resuscitation attempts, Karla and Paul called 911 and cleaned up all the evidence. Unfortunately, the case was dismissed as a "coincidence" and initially closed.

Because of this, The Witch of Ontario had two options to choose from; or testify against her ex and face a lesser sentence, or face a full charge. Karla obviously chose the former and remained in Kingston Women's Prison until 2005.
After his older sister's arrest, Logan felt ashamed and wanted to lie low. He didn't like the negative attention his family was getting and he wanted to avoid it. Then, in 1996, he changed his name from "Lori" to "Logan." This allowed him to protect her true identity and lead a normal life.
